FAQS about commercial finance
we're here to help.
How long will an application take?
I’ve got a question at the weekend – will you help?
Unlike a bank, my phone is always on. (Just don’t tell my wife…) If you need me, I’m here.
I’ve got bad credit and my company has missed payments – can you help?
I’m good, but I’m not David Blaine. That said, I’ve helped plenty of businesses in tricky situations – and I’ll always be honest about what’s possible.
Why do you ask so many questions?
Can everything be done remotely?
Yes – everything can be done digitally if that suits you. I do make a real effort to meet every client in person, but I know it’s not always possible (or convenient).
I need help sourcing a van – can you help?
Absolutely. I also work with Van Broker Scotland, so I’ve got you covered on sourcing, financing, and even delivering your next van
Why do you work with so many lenders?
Because no two businesses are the same. Working with over 40 lenders means I can find the right deal for your specific needs – whether it’s a big-name bank or a niche lender who understands your sector.
What is asset finance Scotland and how does it work?
Asset finance Scotland is a way to acquire equipment, machinery or vehicles without paying the full cost upfront. You spread the cost over an agreed term (typically 1 to 7 years) through monthly payments. The lender owns the asset until the final payment, at which point ownership may transfer to you depending on the product.
What is the difference between hire purchase Scotland and finance lease Scotland?
With hire purchase Scotland, you own the asset at the end of the agreement — it appears on your balance sheet and qualifies for capital allowances. With finance lease Scotland, the finance company retains ownership; the asset stays off your balance sheet and monthly payments can be lower. The right choice depends on your tax position and balance sheet strategy.
What areas of Scotland do you serve?
We serve businesses across all of Scotland, with dedicated city pages for Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Dundee, plus coverage across Stirling, Perth, Inverness, Falkirk, the Scottish Borders, and the wider West of Scotland.
Is Fraser Finance Solutions FCA regulated?
